Ideas for Decorating, Organizing, and Making Over the Laundry Room

Laundry Room Flooring

Much consideration should go into choosing your laundry room flooring.  You want to choose something durable and...for obvious reasons....waterproof.  Carpeting is obviously the worst choice but what are the best options?

Tile and vinyl are the best choices.  Laminate is another possibility but I can speak from personal experience and tell you that if you are unfortunate enough to have your laundry room flood and you have laminate flooring, you will be ripping it out and replacing it.

If you have a larger budget for your laundry room makeover, tile or stone are the nicest options.  They not only look great but will also hold up really well.  Ceramic tile can actually be pretty affordable depending on what you choose and you can even add inlays, mosiacs, or medallions to give the room an extra touch of class or elegance.

When it comes to Laundry Room Flooring...ceramic tile is a great option

If you are on a tight budget, vinyl is a great option.  It is very inexpensive and fairly easy to install yourself, saving you the costs of labor.  Peel and stick vinyl flooring pieces are the cheapest and easiest.  There are actually a lot of great options available for peel and stick flooring these days and some of them actually have a realistic look of stone to it.  You can also buy vinyl flooring that comes in sheets.  You may need the help of a professional to install this type of flooring though so it will increase your out of pocket costs.

If you can't afford to replace your laundry room flooring right now, consider dressing up a tired old floor with one of the cute laundry room rugs that are available these days!
